AVL Protocols

The use of audio-visual links (AVL) in the District Court is the subject of three protocols issued by the Chief District Court Judge in May 2018. These are designed to ensure use of remote participation technology for court appearances by defendants held in custody does not degrade fair trial rights or access to justice.
