Sentencing — indecent assault on a young person — indecent assault on a person over 16.
Defendant sentenced to two years and four months’ imprisonment on five counts of indecent assault with a young person and one of indecent assault with a person over 16.
The victims of the offending were the defendant’s niece, cousin, daughter and daughter’s friend.
Little in the way of mitigating features given that the defendant showed no remorse or acceptance of responsibility.
The extent of harm caused to the victims, particularly damage to family relationships, was an aggravating feature.
