Sentencing — aggravated robbery — breach of protection order — breach of supervision — discount for youth. The defendant appeared for sentencing having pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, breaches of a protection order, a driving offence and breaches of supervision. The Judge had previously provided a sentencing indication that provided a starting point of four and half years for the aggravated robbery and uplifts of six months and two months for the protection order breaches and driving offences, respectively. The Judge applied a 10 percent discount for youth and 15 percent for the guilty pleas, however, no further information was provided that might serve as mitigating factors. The Judge sentenced the defendant to three years' seven months' imprisonment for the aggravated robbery charge and the remaining charges were to be served concurrently. Judgment Date: 29 January 2019.
