Declaration children in need of care or protection — interim and final restraining orders — — Notice of Intention to Appear — Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989, ss 14(1)(b) and (h), 83(1)(b), 87 and 88. A declaration was made that four children were in need of care and protection. They were in the care of their grandmother at the time of the hearing. Although the father’s Notice of Intention to Appear was filed out of time, the Judge gave leave to file an affidavit within 14 days as to opposition of an interim restraining order. A final restraining order was made against the mother as she did not take steps. **Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements.
