Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989, ss 14(1)(a)(b), 92 — interim support order — declaration that child is in need of care or protection — whether proceedings for both children could occur together. The proceedings concerned care and protection declaration applications (s 14) for siblings with different fathers. An interim support order (s 92) was made in respect of the older child directing the Chief Executive to provide support while his father was being served with proceedings. A s 14 declaration was made in respect of the younger child, her father having been served and not having objected. A s 92 order was also deemed necessary in respect of this child to address care and protection concerns. The orders were made in a manner that meant review periods for the children would occur within a day of one another. **Note: names have been changed to comply with legal requirements.
