New Zealand Police v Aaron Groube NZDC 3828
Published 12 August 2016
Sentencing — burglary — robbery — Sentencing Act 2002.
Defendant sentenced to two years and one month's imprisonment for a charge of robbery. A concurrent sentence of six months’ imprisonment was given for a charge of burglary.
Although the burglary and robbery were standalone offences a concurrent sentence was appropriate when the principle of totality was considered (s 85).
