Sentencing — Immigration Act 2009, ss 142 and 342 — supplying false or misleading information to an immigration officer — producing false information to an immigration officer — producing a false visitor's visa. The defendant was sentenced to one year and nine months' imprisonment for three charges under the Immigration Act, including supplying false information and producing a false visa. Aggravating features of the offending included premeditation and length of time over which the offending occurred. From a starting point of two years and six months reductions were made for the defendant's guilty plea and health issues. Judgment Date: 22 December 2016.
